Before you contact us, have a think about:
- What do you want to achieve as a result of any media engagement or publicity?
- Key findings: what do your findings reveal that is new, interesting or different?
- Why are these findings significant? What impact might they have and who might be interested? Who do you want to reach?
- What is the main message you’d like to get across?
- What are the timescales (eg when is the research paper you’re promoting due to be published)? Are you giving us enough warning? The earlier the better – no need to wait until you have a publication date or everything is in place. This helps us plan our workload and make the most of any opportunities your research might offer.
