Alice Cockerham

Alice is part of the Communications Production team, contributing to the creative process, design and development of printed and digital collateral for student recruitment and corporate communications. She primarily works on collateral to promote the University to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as assets to showcase the University’s research offering.

Alice also ensures that any internal and external assets are appropriately designed to conform to the University’s visual identity.

Alice has predominantly worked in print and has a strong interest in the design, photography and typography of specialist magazines and books. This not only facilities her design but also her knowledge of new trends, style features and techniques that may aid her work. In her personal time she collects prints from local and national artists, which inspires her own interest in digital illustration. She also spends too much time on Instagram uploading pictures of her 16-year-old cat, child and weekend bakes.

Alice studied Fashion Market, Media and Promotion at Huddersfield University, but found fashion publications and photography more interesting than the clothes themselves. Through this interest, she pursued a career into layout design which led to her extensive history of working with print and publications. Alice started working for the University in 2019.
